A 11 km through the valley of Vagamon runs the socially committed citizens who organized the DCSMAT Marathon to ring their voices loud and clear against cutting down trees and to bring attention to the dreadful conditions the retreating forest cover could result to.
On the occasion of International Day of Forests DCSMAT organizes the Marathon which starts from the Vagamon town and ends up in the DCSMAT Campus.
The event is organized to be held on 21st March Tuesday by 6am starting from the Vagamon town to DCSMAT campus covering a distance of 11 kilometers. With Rs250 the registration can be completed. The prize money for 11 km is Rs10000 and Rs5000 and for covering 5km the prize money is Rs5000 and Rs 3000.
