Mr. Huỳnh Công Út professionally known as Nick Ut, was an acclaimed Vietnamese American photographer for the Associated Press (AP) till 2017 when he retired. Though his body of work is vast, he is still referred to as the photographer who captured the picture of young girl hit by the Napalm bomb. He was awarded the 1973 Pulitzer Prize for Spot News Photography and the 1973 World Press Photo of the Year for “The Terror of War”. He spoke about his experiences during the Vietnam war and of the girl whom he had photographed. His photographs spoke for themselves; they were replete with the destruction and the emotional havoc war creates.
