This is to inform that we have taken very stern action on the recent issue of alleged ragging by five students of 2nd year B Com with B.Com 1st year student.
DCSMAT has taken swift action on the matter and it was reported to the local law enforcement personnel and case was registered against them. Internal investigations are also on and we hope to complete it on or before September 15, 2018. If found guilty we will be initiating strict action including dismissal from the institution and punitive action as per standing orders prescribed by the University, AICTE, New Delhi and other government bodies. Action will also be taken against any student who had threatened the 1st year students post lodging of FIR.
DCSMAT investigation will be independent of police investigations and if found guilty by the ‘institution enquiry’ such decision will be final and binding.
College has a strict policy on the matter and hazing of any type will not be tolerated at any cost. We also wish t0 state any intimidation by student or any one for reporting such atrocities will be dealt severely . We also intend to strengthen our anti- ragging committee to ensure such things are not repeated or in case of such behaviors appropriate recommendations can be made by the committee comprising of people of public stature from the community, law enforcement officers, parents, faculty, staff and students.
DCSMAT is also intending to series of talks on anti hazing by law enforcement officers, motivational speakers, psychologists and public figures.
We invite students and parents to write or report to us of any kind of violence be it minor or otherwise. Such information and the name of the personnel will be kept confidential and we would welcome students to come forward and report of any such occurrence.
